Yoga Biography

Patricia Lutz Yoga and Meditation is an entity created by Patricia Lutz to provide professional instruction and classes in yoga and meditation.  These offerings include all levels, basics, mindful flow, levels 1 & 2, restorative, pre/postnatal yoga, meditation, trauma-informed yoga classes, and Circle of Hope workshops. Patricia is a member of The Breathe Network, providing yoga as a healing modality to survivors of sexual violence.

Patricia first discovered the beauty of yoga at a Hatha Yoga studio in Chicago in 1999. From that day forward, yoga has been an integral part of her life.  Her personal philosophy of yoga incorporates both its physical and spiritual aspects. She teaches with an emphasis on natural alignment and believes that through consciousness of breath and body, balance can be achieved within our bodies, minds, and hearts. She believes that yoga should feel safe, empowering, and accessible for all.

Patricia is a certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher & Leader through Yoga to Transform Trauma and is deeply grateful for the kindness and leadership of Catherine Ashton.

Patricia has also completed Trauma-Informed Yoga: Sexual Violence, Yoga, and the Physiology of Resilience training with Molly Boeder Harris. Molly is also the fantastic founder of The Breathe Network. Patricia is grateful to call Molly a mentor, teacher, and friend.

Patricia is a proud member of The Breathe Network (www.thebreathenetwork.org). The Breathe Network is a resource and referral network connecting survivors of sexual violence to trauma-informed, sliding-scale, holistic healing arts practitioners. Patricia offers yoga as a healing modality to survivors of sexual violence.

Patricia’s Prenatal Yoga classes allow mothers to connect to their changing bodies, their babies, and other mothers-to-be in a loving, safe, and enriching way.

Training at Bloom Yoga Studio in Chicago for her 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training was transformative!

Patricia is also a DONA trained Doula.

Patricia is currently earning her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. She is deeply engrossed in her graduate studies and enjoying learning new ways to facilitate healing. Patricia intends to continue to work with trauma survivors and anyone else that may seek her services. Expanding into counseling/therapy feels natural and exciting. Stay tuned for more regarding Patricia’s trauma-informed counseling services.
